What does it feel like to have tuberculosis? What does it "look like"? Are these strange questions?
20.2.2023
No, not if your name is Sabin Tambrea. The actor visited the office of the German Central Committee against Tuberculosis (DZK) together with director Georg Maas to find out more about the lung disease. The exchange had a very practical background: Sabin Tambrea plays Franz Kafka, who was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis in 1917, in the feature film "The Glory of Life". Prof. Dr. Torsten Bauer, Dr. Brit Häcker and Dr. Ralf Otto-Knapp from DZK, among others, explained the symptoms, the physical effects of an ongoing illness and what it "looks like" - in the truest sense of the word - when someone has tuberculosis.
Dear Sabin Tambrea, thank you for your visit and we hope you were able to take away many details for your movie.
