Interactive map of MDR-TB coverage in Germany
The DZK has developed an interactive network map to facilitate the search for specialized care facilities for drug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) in Germany and to provide an overview of local contact points.
The German MDR-TB network, to which 60 clinics now belong, is presented. Outpatient specialist care (ASV) for tuberculosis has also been integrated on the basis of data from the ASV Service Center.
The interactive network map can be accessed via the following link:
By publishing the current status, we would like to motivate people to join the network. Of course, the networks shown on the map cannot fully represent the healthcare landscape in Germany. If a healthcare facility is missing, please send feedback to the DZK (info@dzk-tuberkulose.de).
The MDR-TB network map is part of the three-year No1Lost joint project funded by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), which the DZK is coordinating with the CAPNETZ STIFTUNG and Justus Liebig University Giessen. The aim of the project is to research the causes of treatment discontinuations in the treatment of tuberculosis, which are not uncommon in Germany either, and in particular drug-resistant tuberculosis, and at the same time to develop services to prevent them.
