1/4/2025

Tuberculosis was a major problem in Germany in the post-war period. Today, we have managed to reduce tuberculosis through improved living conditions and effective drug therapy. Tuberculosis is a rare disease in Germany today. In 2023, just under 4,500 new cases occurred in Germany. Although the number of cases is also influenced by migration, it remains at a low level overall. Tuberculosis remains one of the most common infectious diseases worldwide, with more than 10 million new cases every year.
